As a Group, North Wales Advanced Drivers relies on its members to make everything work. As well as the committee members, there are the Tutors and Advanced Tutors. The committee for 2026/27 consists of ten members. These are:
Michael – Group Secretary and Training Officer. Michael is a retired Chartered Engineer who used to work in the motor industry and was also a Health and Safety Consultant and trainer. He passed his first Advanced Driving Test in 2002 and currently holds the RoSPA National Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction. He has 15 years experience as a Training Officer and drives a BMW.
Dave – Treasurer and Membership Secretary for the last ten years. He was previously an Inspector of Taxes. He likes motorbikes and drives a Ford Focus ST
Ray – Current Chairman. First qualified as an advanced driver in 2019. In his day job, Ray manages an Executive Travel company and mostly drives an electric vehicle
Mike – Vice Chairman. Retired racing driver who owns and drives a classic MG
Glenys – Enjoys looking after her Dachshund dogs and loves driving 4x4s
Norman – A Driver Trainer and Assessor. Norman also teaches people with disabilities how to drive
Richard – A Self-Employed Accountant who also rides motorbikes
John – A retired Lecturer in Mathematics and Statistics. He is also a Thesis Author
Andy – An Approved Driving Instructor since 2018. He also carries out Safe & Considerate Driving coaching with TTC as well as being a Taxi Examiner for Cheshire Council
Craig – An Approved Driving Instructor for since 2021 and a Provisional Driving Instructor Trainer
